Our Favourite Things to Do in Abu Dhabi with Babies and Toddlers

Whether you're looking to make the most of the cooler winter weather or escape the summer heat, Abu Dhabi offers a huge variety of activities for babies, toddlers, and parents alike. From peaceful parks and beaches to soft plays and indoor entertainment hubs, there’s always something to enjoy — no matter the season. As a mum of two, these are our go-to spots for fun, connection, and memory-making all year round.

Here are some of our favourite tried-and-tested places in Abu Dhabi that are perfect for babies, toddlers and their grown-ups:

1. Umm Al Emarat Park

This park has it all. There’s a market every Friday and Saturday evening with delicious food stalls, handmade goods, and live children's activities. Even outside market times, there's a fantastic play area, a petting zoo, splash park, and so much to explore. It's an ideal place to spend a full morning or afternoon.

2. Emirates Park Zoo

An unforgettable experience for little ones, with animal feeding zones, close encounters, and plenty of shade. It's a sensory-rich adventure that toddlers love. From giraffes and monkeys to flamingos and hippos, it’s a magical way to connect with nature.

3. SeaWorld Abu Dhabi

Yes, it's toddler-friendly! SeaWorld is home to soft play zones, gentle rides, and animal exhibits that keep even young children engaged. The dolphin and sea lion shows are especially brilliant — we highly recommend grabbing a tub of popcorn and letting them enjoy the magic.

4. Hudayriyat Beach

A family favourite, this beach has parks, splash pads, and food spots with plenty of space to relax and play. It's clean, scenic, and surprisingly toddler-friendly. Great for a laid-back morning or sunset adventure.

5. Orange Wheels

The Reem Mall branch is our go-to. With a pretend play village, dress-up stations, arts and crafts, slime-making, slides, ball pits, and a soft play area, it’s easy to spend hours here. There’s also an in-house café so parents can recharge too.

6. Coco Cafe and Playhouse (Hidd Saadiyat)

Another brilliant indoor play and café combo. Expect slides, a peg wall, climbing area, creative crafts, dressing up, a mini village, and our favourite: the cosy book corner. It’s well-designed and perfect for a relaxed morning playdate or post-nap outing.

7. Caboodle (Galleria Mall)

A beautifully designed soft play and activity space that's especially great for babies and toddlers. With a sensory room, pretend play stations, soft play zones, and even baby-friendly salon services, Caboodle is perfect for a calm morning or a midweek treat.
